Good Morning My Crafty Friends,

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I did and I am looking forward to a great, creative week! 

As you know, Jen Starr will be here next Tuesday, October 6^th.  I am so excited!!!!  She only visits our store once a year, so don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a very talented and FUN artist.

The classes she will teaching are listed below.  There are still seats available so come by the store or call and we will get you signed up.

ARTISTIC LAYERS – ART JOURNALING 

10:30am – 1:30pm      $45

    

Using the beautiful and vibrant Dylusions Paints you will create 4 unique pages in your art journal.   We will focus on painting techniques for layering color and images, color theory and blending (without getting mud!), washes and glazes, a variety of ways to use stencils and masks, working with gesso and so much more…

These pages will be a stunning addition to your art journal and you will learn some great techniques that you will be able to translate in to all of your future projects!

**PLEASE BRING TO CLASS** YOUR ART JOURNAL, a variety of paint brushes including a 1” flat brush.  Container for water, baby wipes and paper towels, some of your favorite stencils (I will have some to share as well), A variety of black and white permanent markers (such as Sharpie, Pitt pens, Uni-Ball, etc)

BE HAPPY MIXED MEDIA MINI-BOOK

 2:00pm – 5:00pm        $47

This chunky little book is going to show off the MIXED in mixed media!  You will be working with chipboard, metal, fabric, Viva Decor 3D Stamp Paints, gesso, inks, stamps, stencils, Inka Gold, Glitter Pens ...just to name a few.  The book will be made from scratch and measures 6x8" and almost 2" thick.  We'll put it all together in class using a few different binding techniques.  You can add photos later or use it as an Art Journal...and there will be room to expand with additional pages as well if you wish!  

**Please bring to class** Baby Wipes and paper towels, 1/2" double sided tape (such as Score or red tape), scissors, scoring tool/board if you have one (a small one is fine - at least 6"), heat gun, variety of paint brushes and container for water, strong liquid adhesive such as Glossy Accents and an ink blending tool with foam (or make up sponges or similar).

INKA GOLD TECHNIQUES – CARD BONANZA!  

6:00pm – 8:30pm          $45

Inka Gold is one of those unique products that lends itself to ANY style you want it to...all you need to do is learn how to unlock its potential!  This TECHNIQUE BONANZA workshop is heavily focused on over a dozen different ways to use Inka Gold while working on a variety if cards.  Whether your personal tastes are elegant, distressed, artistic or cutesy and bright, we will be covering it during the class while we work with new stamps and stencils as well.  You will have the opportunity to work with ALL of the beautiful colors that Inka Gold has to offer to create cards that compliment your style.  

**Please bring to class**  1" flat paint brush and a smaller detailed brush, container for water, blending tool with foam or make up sponges, adhesive for paper, baby wipes and paper towels

Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder that Jen will be here in just 2 short days!  I am so excited to to learn all the fun techniques she will be teaching us.

There are still a couple of spots left for both her class so make sure you come in tomorrow and get signed up.

For those of you that are already signed up here are the few things you need to bring to class:

Viva Diva - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Paint brushes and a container for water;  palette knife or scraping tool; a roll of paper towels and/or baby wipes;  and a heat gun if you have one.

Life is Beautiful Gatefold Mini - 5:30pm-8:30pm
Scoring tool for folds, a heat gun if you have one, strong adhesive such as Glossy Accents, Scor-tape or red liner tape, scissors, roll of paper towel

Ranger Goodies & New Carta Bella Collection

Good Afternoon My Scrappin' Friends,

The Ranger Goodies have arrived!  We had so much fun playing with these inks and sprays when Jen Starr was here.  

Carta Bella's new Collection called So Noted has also arrived.  Beautiful soft colors that will be great for spring projects.
